Our weekend hire rate covers pick-up after 4pm on Friday and return before 8am on Monday — one simple rate for the entire weekend.

If you run into any issues with a machine, give us a call right away. Our team will assess the situation and decide the best next step — whether that’s sending someone out for repairs or supplying a replacement machine. Yes — If equipment comes back muddy or heavily soiled, a cleaning charge will be added to cover the extra time required to get it ready for the next hire.

How do I know if I can tow behind my vehicle?2025-11-05T15:34:03+13:00

You’ll need to check your vehicle’s tow bar rating and whether the trailer is braked, as this can affect the maximum towing capacity. As a general guide, make sure the total weight of the trailer (with brakes) and machine is under 2500kg. For example, a 1.7-ton digger on a trailer comes in under this limit and can be safely towed by any vehicle with an appropriate tow bar. Feel free to give us a call, or chat to our friendly team in the yard if you aren’t sure.

I need it for an extra day or two, can I hold onto the machine until I’m finished?2025-11-05T15:31:58+13:00

We understand that jobs don’t always go exactly to plan! If you need to keep the machine for an extra day, just give us a call or pop into the office. We’ll do our best to accommodate your extension and keep any upcoming hires informed.

No worries — getting your job done is what matters most! We’ll simply check the total hours used during your hire and chat with you about the cost on any extra time if needed.

If you’re delayed returning your hire, please give us a call — we’re happy to wait where possible.
